Professional Growth Plan

Setting clear and achievable personal benchmarks is essential for my professional development. These milestones guide my journey, ensuring continuous progress in my academic and leadership roles. By establishing specific goals, I stay focused on advancing my knowledge, skills, and contributions to the field of educational technology leadership.

Personal Plan Benchmarks

2022 – 2023

• Complete year one of course work in NJCU’s EdD in Educational Technology Leadership program ✅

• Attend EDUCAUSE’s annual conference in Denver, CO ✅

2023 – 2024

• Complete year two of course work in NJCU’s EdD in Educational Technology Leadership program ✅

• Present at an accessibility workshop, highlighting ways to leverage technology for Universal Design for Learning ✅

• Present as part of a webinar series on AI in Education, focusing on demystifying and de-demonize AI's use ✅

• Participate as an editor/reader for submissions to SIGUCCS's Conference Proceedings ✅

• Attend SIGUCCS’s annual conference as a Coordinator for Lightning Talks ✅

• Volunteer for SIGUCC’s annual conference ✅

• Maintain/renew CPACC certification through continued education hours through IAAP ✅

• Participate on an internship team for NJCIE in development of an asynchronous version of their Reading Acceleration Professional Integrated Development (RAPID) Program ✅

2024 – 2025

• Complete final year of course work in NJCU’s EdD in Educational Technology Leadership program, earning my Doctorate and attending graduation. 

• Develop and execute my dissertation which will focus on the use of a social model of disability framework for creating more equitable learning opportunities for all students

• Part 2 of the NJCIE project using the Squarespace learning module and the previous projects videos to create an organized micro-learning self-paced web based professional development program

• Work with NJCIE to develop and execute a wider array of trainings and workshops on disability, accessibility, universal design for learning, etc.

• Network at EDUCAUSE’s annual conference, recruiting universities to participate in my dissertation survey

• Take on a leadership role within the SIGUCCS organization which will lead to running for a Board position for 2006 - 2009 to help guide the organization and ensure its sustainability

• Present a condensed version of my dissertation at SIGUCCS's annual conference

2025 – 2026

• Present a completed version of my dissertation at EDUCAUSE's Annual Conference with an accompanying white paper

• Attend SIGUCCS’s Annual Conference as a Track Chair

• Present on at least one topic related to my research at SIGUCC's annual conference

• Apply to teach on the topics of educational technology and accessibility at a university level

• Develop a workshop to present at Princeton Universities for their IAAP biannual accessibility workshop based on my dissertation results
